Nand emulation runs from usb. Triiforce mrc is pretty easy to setup but it does not have 100% compatibility. Sneek is harder but it is 100% compatible (??).

triforce setup: 1. install 249 rev17
2.Simple fs dumper: minimalistic dump
3.put your wads in a folder and run wad2nand
4.delete title and ticket folder from your nand dump and zip up your nand.
5.copy title and ticket to your usb from wad2nand.
6. run triiforce; if it fail working on a previously working game just unzip the zip file over your nand

You have three choices:

1) Triiforce
2) uLoader (Easier to set up, so I would recommend this)
3) UNEEK

Choose what you want, I think ModMii can help you with the setup, at least for 1) and 3). Oh, and don't use wad2nand, it's old and doesn't do it's job right, use ShowMiiWADs instead, which does everything as it should.

You can also turn the wads into iso forwarders, then made a wad forwarder out of the iso.
That way you can have the channel on the system menu, the forwarder is about 1mb, and it will load the files of the hdd.
I'll pm you a guide in a bit.
