Warner Bros. has today confirmed the existence of Traveller's Tales latest entry into the LEGO series: Lord of the Rings. The game will have a full voice acting cast, though it has not yet been revealed whether the original cast will be included in this game.

The game will follow the story of the first 3 films and you will be able to play as either Frodo, Aragorn, Gandalf, Gimli or Legolas. The game is due for release this autumn on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, PlayStation Vita, 3DS, Wii and DS.

I hope they get the film actors to voice it, it does always seem kinda off when they get non-film actors for LotR games.

Never been a huge fan of the Lego games though, I never really got the whole idea behind them. I mean they're based on Lego, the world's most famous building blocks, but they're just like action-platformer type games? I thought they'd be about the movies but involve a lot of either construction (weapons, vehicles, etc), destruction (like of the environment), or customization. Unless Lego games already these things and I'm just playing the wrong ones.

"Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, PlayStation Vita, 3DS, Wii and DS."

So, It's available for both the 3DS and the DS, but not the PSP… Aren't there more people with PSPs than Vitas?

Yeah but how many people with PSPs would actually buy this? There's a reason why like practically no more PSP games are in development/coming out and those that are coming out are either Japan-exclusive or Japanese localizations.

Then again, Lego Star Wars II for PSP has horrid loading times, so maybe this is for the best...

I'm kind of sad that the games are using voice acting now. I remember playing the first Star Wars title, and it was a fun little treat; the pantomiming from the Lego characters gave the game its own sort of charm.

It's not anything worth getting worked up over, but it irks me a bit. So, uh... take that, Lego, I guess, maybe.
