Guess what? IT'S A LEGO GTA! Well.. sorta. Anyways, picked this game up the other day. Popped it in for a bit to give a try, I'm addicted to it. It's really fun and surprisingly funny. It's my first Lego game, but damn it's great. For people wondering if it's worth it, it is. Easily.

The script is really awesome and actually had me lol'ing out loud. It's legitely funny.

While there are long load screens... they're only in between missions, so it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

Oh yeah.. Lego City is awsome. I cannot wait for the DS version.

I also approve of how they do some of the Open world stuff.. In that you -have- to progress through the story to get the skills and such, as thats my problem with a lot of open worlded games. I'd start doing so much other stuff, that by the time I got back to the story.. I was bored with the game.

*3DS version :P

EDIT: Don't you love Frank Honey? :P
I don't think this game would go well without this guy
He's the dumbest person I've seen in a game or lego game.

My one complaint about most of the reviews are the insane focus they give the load times. 1) Except for the first two.. they are not near as often as any of the reviews claim they are. 2) All lego games have insainly long loadtimes... Why pick on this one....Oh yeah.. It's a nintendo exclusive. Got to do their best to pull those scores down.

It's not just IGN though. And again.. you are not loading -that- often except the first two *which does seem a bit stupid and redundant* Unless you turn around and go into the police station and right back out -every- time you start the game.

I hardly play LEGO games but I was surprised at how much fun this game was. I rented it initially but was enjoying it so much (and realized how massive the game is) I ended up purchasing. That it is selling for $50 instead of the $60 that most new games go for is pretty cool too.

The load times are lame and an off tv mode would have been nice but this game is basically a must own.

Considering you'll (probably) spend 90% of your time running around the city doing stupid stuff, the load times are almost a non-factor after initial load.

However.

Loading into missions and the police station *is* annoying--at least with the latter you're not in the very often.

Great game, tho, and everyone w/ a U should be scooping this one up--those that don't should be scooping up a U and the game...plus Monster Hunter ;)

I've been saying it is a great game from the start, I pre-ordered it. So far I have all my powers except for strength. I love the little quips that the game spews out. I like how it makes the game more personal with the gamepad by having the communicator with the police station on the gamepad as well as the scanning xray and voice and taking pictures you can share with the gamepad. I haven't taken many pictures just a few. (It unlocks later for some who don't have it yet). The city is HUGE. Been on boats, helicopters, space ship, flying saucer, and lots of cars & trucks as well as a dinosaur. Some cars have nitrous to go faster. Lots of side missions. And for replay ability there is the free roam. And there are free run missions too that are timed. Graphics are great and there are a TON of hidden items all around the city like Mario stars, pigs and other items. This is a good 50 hour game that has not let me down yet. Thanks Lego for believing in Nintendo!

pity i won't be able to hack it it though at least until bannerbomb works again. in the meantime i'll have to keep my wii to play rftod and prime 1 and 3 (2 sux plus has game breaking glitch)
