ROM Hack Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time Randomizer possible?

Perhaps compare the 3DS version with the original N64 Rom.

Then compare the 3DS version with the newly patched Randomizer Rom.

Compare those two previous files and somehow create a difference patch.

Finally, apply that patch back to the 3DS version.

Not sure if that makes any sense, or if this can even be done.

Thought it couldn't hurt to sound dumb here though and ask a stupid question on this.

what exactly are you hopeing to get randomized? I dont overly understand as much is needed in way its set to get futher in the game.

It's becoming a new trend on Twitch TV as of late.

Many of the popular streamers are currently playing Randomizers, including this one.

All major and minor items are placed in different areas but not enough to break the game.

Nothing else will be changed.

Progress can always be made somehow though.

These are amazingly fun to play.

It might be possible, though I don't believe there is existing documentation on the file formats OoT3D uses out there, as of now. Given how, as you said, OoT Randomizers are already a thing, I assume people already have an understanding of what can be randomized without breaking the game.

It's possible. A randomizer is available for ALTTP that shuffles item locations, as described above.
