Hello! This is the first time I'm posting on these website so I just wanted to say hello! I'm Nate and I'm a noob at this stuff. Anyways, on to my issue:

A couple of nights ago, I dropped my Switch and the left joy con's rail popped off. When it happened, the rail was still attached to the switch. The controller just popped off really nicely. Anyways, I ended up tinkering with the joy-con (ruined the screws...) and put everything back together. It works fine for the most part! It's like nothing ever happened. BUT. When I pop the joy con back onto the switch, the switch doesn't recognize the controller as being connected to the system. The pins on the system and controller rails seem fine, I've updated the controllers, etc, etc, but I still get nothing. I thought that the pins might've been damaged due to the impact but the system charges my joy-cons just fine...so what do you guys think?

Replace the rail, they are reasonably cheap.
You can still use the JoyCon wirelessly in handheld mode and you'd only be able to tell that it's being used wirelessly by checking the JoyCon settings. Might not be a big deal but I would still replace it if it was me.

@Xdqwerty No you heard wrong, and don't believe till you experience yourself. Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yes it had issues early on, esp with older hardware like the xbox1, but it is awesome, esp now being 4k on Series S/X or PS5

@BigOnYa, Then i think people were talking about fallout 76
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    that one was buggy too
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, I may probably download fallout 3 or new vegas on my ps3
