129$ bro i can get an EZFO DE for like 60$ what the hell?
Or a whole console. And one can always get an emulator for free. That doesn't mean there is no place for premium hardware options.

The EZFO DE has no light/motion sensors, so it's nice to see that, considering the original games that featured those can be quite expensive and hard to find.

It’s not because it “cost money,” it’s that they cost a ridiculous amount of money. You may have the money to drop 100$ to 200$ on a cart, but most of us don’t.
This may be a crazy suggestion but you can simply not buy it. You're not entitled to his hardwork and support. His carts are the gold standard and the price reflects that.

The SummerCart 64 beats the Everdrive X7 all day every day, in every category for 1/3rd the price. So that's not even remotely true.

One exception. Lol. When you buy an Everdrive you know it's going to work. The compatibility, power draw, build quality. The support. I hope you're just pretending to not understand. Most flashcarts are built like shit and provided in a "well it works enough" state. Take EZ Flash for example. Their best product is the Omega DE. It feels flimsy, cheap, and it's got fair QC at best. And that's their best product that's the closest to the ED GBA. Literally everything else they sell is terrible.

isn't the acekard2i, vanilla ez flash gba, ez flash jr, stargate, considered really good? (i know acekard2i isn't made by ez flash) i'm personally not a fan of like two of ez flashes products but saying most of their stuff is "works well enough" is pretty disingeneous, nevertheless i'd rather stick with ez flash than pay 50% more for a product that introduces 2 features that only like 3 games use, but alright.

The compatibility
That's a really tricky thing. So far the Everdrives lack basically all of the extra features except for RTC. The Game Boy had so many additions. Rumble, motion etc. Where are these features? Yeah, of course you can patch the ROMs to not use them. But that's not the real experience then.
I believe that the Everdrive GBA Pro was made only to be able to compete with the EZ-Flash OMEGA Definitive Edition which is superior to the current Everdrive GBA in basically all ways. If adding sensors for a few games was something krikzz was interested in, it would've been done many years ago. But because of the strong competition, there has to be a new Everdrive GBA because EZ-Flash can't be beat in price and only in features.
Also, the EZ-Flash OMEGA DE is to date the only GBA flashcart to support GBA movie ROMs that are 64MB. Not even the new Everdrive GBA Pro will support them, as it doesn't have enough memory to keep it.
Speaking of memory, where is FRAM for savegames? Why does the PRO everdrive use battery backed SRAM? (to be fair: this is not confirmed yet but the specs of the card only mention a SRAM storage so it will save to SRAM).

Noooo! You can't just buy the quality flashcart that just works! You have to buy the cheap e-waste that barely works and gets abandoned! You just have to, okay?

Lol. FYI, I have no problem with cheaper flashcarts existing. But they're cheaper for a reason. The quality doesn't compare to the Everdrive. You can cope all you want but it's still true. Not in the software, the hardware, or the build quality. They both have their place. I just have a problem with people who decide to constantly shit all over the Everdrive carts and beg for clones like they have some kind of entitlement to his work. Too much for you? Don't buy it. It really is that simple.

The Acekard lineup always succumbed to PIN contact issues. Every iteration I had of that god awful card required a piece of paper or some type of shim after a few weeks. Your list is fine, but not considered really good if I'm being honest.

That being said, The Ez Flash Omega DE is known to have QC issues. Not as much as the first iteration, but issues nonetheless. Their support is god awful. They google translate everything and skip basic steps. My DE damn near bricked because of a failed update flash. The fix for it was buried in some obscure link that is nowhere near their support page.

When they work, they work great and I'm sure that most people may not have issues, but god help you if you do.

ETA: I also suffered from save corruption on my DE. Everdrives may not have all that fancy features, and may cost a bit more but I've had zero issues with them. Your mileage may vary, just get what works for you.

Krikzz dropped the ball on the GBA Pro by not including rumble. It would have easily outclassed all the other carts out there, but they fucked up by omitting the best feature.

I have many EZ-Flash products, some of them are almost 20 years old (back then everdrive didn't even exist) and all of them still work. Ofc I had to replace two or three batteries, but that's expected.
Comparing the EZ-Flash to the Everdrive software, the Everdrive software is laughable. Look at how basic the EDGBA menu is. It's simply not GBA worthy. And there are "random buttons that do stuff" that are explained nowhere (in the cartridge). The EZ Flash OMEGA menu makes sense: there are different tabs and the "random buttons" are explained in the last tab.
I don't beg for everdrive clones. But EZ-Flash is no everdrive clone. They do their own work and they are longer in the business than everdrive. And I also think that it's important for EZ-Flash and for Everdrive to have competition. I doubt that we would have this many GBA flashcarts if one of them didn't exist and that's a very good thing.
Personally I don't really use my EDGBA since I have the EZ-Flash OMEGA DE.

EDGBA also has QC issues if you take a look at the official everdrive forums. You simply don't see them here because people post about them somehwere else. It's not really possible to compare the reliability of both of them without knowing how many units each one sold.

You're arguing against stuff I never said. I didn't say you specifically begged for an Everdrive clone or that EZ Flash is one (probably would be better though considering the EDGB clones vs the EZ Flash Jr). But someone in this thread did. As for the software it's simple and it works. Please don't tell me your average person would know what half those options mean. "WTF is a B mode? Let me read the poorly translated manual." Everdrive is simple and basic. Here's a menu. Choose a game. That's it. As for QC... The Everdrives are pretty ubiquitous. I've heard far more issues with EZ Flash's carts than I ever have with Krikzz. But you don't even need to "trust me bro". Literally just look and feel both of them. The Omega feels cheap and flimsy. It looks cheap and flimsy. The components aren't as good. The Jr literally uses twice the power of the Everdrive. Lol.

I love when I post the most obviously true statements on this website and everyone feels the need to go "b-but n-n-uh uhh". Can you not handle that the cheap product you bought is in fact cheap? Like, come on now.

About the solar sensor, there's already the EpicJoy cartridge, which is very cheap, but needs some hardware to write the ROM.

Unfortunately, the only option right now for motion sensor is Inside Gadgets, but their supply is limited and the price is on the high end too.

A ChisFlash or SuperChis with motion sensor would be nice.

We have ChisFlash that implements all the GPIO functionality If people are interested, I will promote them to the sellers.
There will also be SuperChis in the future that support all GPIO functions.
