Hacking Kingdom Hearts 358/2 , Day 97 Freeze

At Day 97, after choosing the first Agraba desert mission, the game freezes after proceeding a few rooms (~3) towards a desert room. black screen, with background sound still playing.

Works with DMA: Quicksave (Hold X when loading the game).

I have the same problem w/ you.

But, a used the no$gba emulator to pass this part. BTW, sometimes the game freezes in long cut-scene, and then I cannot pass that part. When freeze, background sound still playing too.

I'm using this configuration:
Clean Rom
AceKard 2i w/ NDSi
AKAIO 1.7

Now i'm in the DAY 299. (I passed many parts with emulator).
PS: My english isn't so good, sorry.

DMA stands for Direct Memory Access, it is a way of allowing a device to directly access memory blocks without the involvement of the Central Processor Unit. This reduces the processing overhead and in the case of the Acekard, reduces lag associated with MicroSD data transfers.

Do what the OP said and hold X after you tap A to launch the game.

If this is truly a problem, I suggest reporting it as a bug on akaio.net. The devs won't have to do much other than update loaders to use the quicksave DMA on KH 358/2 days. It would also help them if you uploaded your save right before day 97 so that they can test it themselves. Make sure you read the guidelines.

Oh thanks. I tested DMA:quicksave and the game freeze before the cut-scene, in a battle with a monster.
So... I must post the problem in akaio.net?
