Yea, for non-english languages there is definitely a need for this, especially non-latin like russian and asian languages.

But no need for it to be posted on english language sites as it could only make things much more confusing. This should be on the russian boards and no where else.
do u know da way

To much people in my country wont read any info. Its tool not quite right, but oneclick very easy to update and use all good stuff.

Do you see how you must manually delete things or extract things to make it work one way or another?
No need to manually delete or move anything if you do not migrate from one OS to another.
Do you see all of the different files posted in the assets section? Which one should I download?
Just unpack atmo.zip for atmosphere or sxos.zip for SX. Simple as vodka
just download sx os or atmosphere directly and drag + drop to sd card
And sigpatches, and other soft for daily use, such as Checkpoint, Tinfoil and others
There's even a old.zip in the assets section....wtf so lazy.
It is for updating from 1.0.0-3.0.0. Some guys has trouble with this on new atmosphere. Maybe I need t use sxos pack for it, I will think about it.
Seems to me this is just about ones ego
You are wrong. It is about simplifying of users supporting and for our vodka-guide
There is no place to kefir on gbatemp, so we do not bring it here. Use kosmos, why not. If it much simpler and better for you.
We made kefir to help russian-speaking community. No ego, no patreon, no drama. Live with it.

yay, just what we needed, another useless cfw that will confuse the scene and create endless wars about which one is better even though they are all the same

Take your negativity somewhere else. CFW made by another party is fine. (AND CFW is not all the same btw. Especially when comparing to SX OS.)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I cannot in good conscience post/host a application in which the author does not even know how to describe his own tool. Seems risky to run this application. This is a software updater/SD card pack and no more, and most definitely is not a CFW.

Claiming kefir is a CFW is like claiming Microsoft Word is a operating system. Kefir is merely a sd card file pack, and a confusing one at that.

If you are modifying your console, you should really learn what you are doing. Making things easy is admirable, but by having all of these various sd-card-pack type of releases it actually adds more confusion instead of clarity. But lets be honest for a second....does it really need to be easier than drop and drag? Sx os, atmosphere, kosmos etc already does this. What need do we have for yet another software that does what others already do (and do well) ? Take a look at the instructions on Kefir's github -

https://github.com/rashevskyv/switch/releases

Do you see how you must manually delete things or extract things to make it work one way or another? Do you see all of the different files posted in the assets section? Which one should I download? Thats actually much harder and more confusing than if you just download sx os or atmosphere directly and drag + drop to sd card. That makes this release not only pointless, but more confusing than if you just downloaded any of the real CFW's directly. Kosmos is by far the easiest solution and I would continue to urge people to use it for simplicity's sake. There's even a old.zip in the assets section....wtf so lazy. If its old and redundant delete the damn file to not create more confusion.

Seems to me this is just about ones ego. Taking others work and packaging it with a new name does not make it a new software. It just makes the person doing it look bad, and adds confusion to the scene. Kosmos appears to keep things extremely simple and concise, without all of the garbage and clutter. They also actually do a fair amount of work to bring that simplicity to the end user so its not just a grab and repack, like most of these sd card packs. They also have the kosmos-toolbox, which already does what this updater claims to do. Why must we re-invent the wheel, but make it square so it rolls like crap? The point of building upon others work is to make it better, not worse...

What advantage does Kefir give that other preexisting sd card packs already provide? I see the downsides, but no upsides? Convince me of the trade-off's here because im not seeing them.

Honestly, that description is probably a bad Russian to English Translation.

Does it require an internet connection of any kind?
When a linked user profile was doing the rounds some time back on GBAtemp you could copy that folder on Atmosphere to make it work, but some people had lots of trouble getting it to work and flat out black screened on SXOS. How is this any different?

Yes, you need internet connection.
This is not for replace

So not good for a banned console
It works on banned consoles.
It doesn't connect to Nintendo at all, it connects to the developer's FTP server to fetch the required files to replace the switch profiles.

I've tested this myself using incognito on emunand and works fine.Although the console wasnt banned last I checked.

For add linked account use this application, is need new CFW or we can use old CFW? I am still in 7.0.1 atmosphere

used for link Nintendo account to a banned console, everything fine, fw 8.1, cfw atm,
thank you!

i ve tested mk11 with this and i ve manage to get to the main screen. now if i just play the single player content will i run into any hiccups?

Hearing a lot about this app today. Although I'm not saying bad but if the app is connecting to the devs server and your inputting personal info to link your account isn't this a privacy concern.

no because u can't connect to Nintendo online server with it. it only bypass the account link check in games that check for it. like i went on royal realm BRA it got past the check but couldn't connect to the games server

I didn't have any previous account linked or any kind of information. So anyway anyone can't take anything.
I just had a banned switch and now I have a random linked account, so I can use some features I can't before on my console.

I guess using a throw away account should be fine with this method but I recommend not using your personal details with any 3rd party app.

FWIW, this does not actually delete the save data for any existing profiles. It deletes the profiles themselves and orphans the save games.

The saves for the deleted profiles are still on the NAND, but since they are not tied to an existing profile...
  • The saves cannot be used directly.
  • The saves take up NAND space.
  • Orphaned saves cannot be deleted from the NAND unless ALL saves for ALL profiles for a given game are deleted.
To get around this...
  1. Backup your saves en-masse using Checkpoint.
  2. Delete all save data for every title using the System Menu. (This is tedious.)
  3. Run this NNID injection tool.
  4. Create any additional profiles you need for family. These won't be linked to an NNID. (It would be nice if it added a few profiles, OP.)
  5. Launch each game for each profile. You don't have to get past the Nintendo loading screen. (Horizon preallocates NAND space.) This is needed so that Checkpoint can restore the save to the profile.
  6. Restore your save data using Checkpoint.
