Haters will hack at pokemon designs for being bland if they don't. So either way, the people who used to play pokemon red and left it there will always think that pokemon was best with the original 151. I like the weird character designs, it's more interesting than say, slowpoke or voltorb. (not that I don't like the originals...)

Now take a look at Tauros. Now back to Afro Bull. Now back to Tauros. Now back to Afro Bull. There's one thing Tauros lacks that makes Afro Bull so much better. That glorious afro sitting on it's oddly shaped head. That afro, is the one thing that makes Afro Bull the best Pokemon ever created.
