Hacking Is updating to 4.1 by disc safe?

I got meself The Beatles: Rock Band, and with it comes an update on the disc.
So, is it safe for me to update? Will anything stop working or will my Wii explode?

I have a 4.0U Wii, Homebrew Channel, Wiikey 1.9s, Bootmii and some DLed WADs on my SD card.

U have HBC, it will be fine.

You should be fine, since you have BootMii and the Homebrew Channel. If you're one to wear a tin foil hat, you could run the game via Gecko once and then disable disc updates. That would install whatever IOS you're missing (and probably need).

4.1 unlikely to be on a third-party title at this time... it might be IOS56 or IOS57 that you need.

No disc has 4.1 yet. Not even 4.0. But like Dialexio pointed out, some games have some new IOS's.

I updated with the new IOSs then, and everything's fine.
