comments regarding this R4? real or fake

All R4 cards are fakes in some way.The card itself looks like an original R4 with a little gold sticker.

However, if you're asking if it can be played on a fully updated 3DS, the answer is....maybe. I would not say it will definitely survive the next update, though.

It's name is : R4i SDHC 3DS Upgrade.
It's a clone of an R4, with poor official support.
In fact, upon going into that site listed on the box, the page was a mess.
And the last upgrade it did had been a while. Seems to be abandoned since.
I'm not sure if YSMENU/TTMENU supports that cart as it's secondary firmware or not.
Haven't checked the compatibility listed by RGF.
If it's listed in the compatibility list, then at least it's still good enough.

Yup! This R4 is definitely a fakey! (Well, every card is) Before I got my DSTWO, I was tricked into buying this and it didn't work for shit on my 3DS. Takes MONTHS in order to update and probably is incompatible with any new games. Look for something like this:

The original R4 is "R4 Revolution For DS". Just "R4". It has no DSi support, no 3DS support, no SDHC support, etc.

So yes, ~99% of R4 carts you see are clones/fakes.
