Hacking Is this R4 fake? and update should i use?

Is this R4 fake? and update should i use? I have some problems with R4, example, i cant Soft Reset on Pokémon, or even use cheats. So i would appreciate a little help.

The original R4 didn't have SDHC support, so it's one of the tons of clones. In fact, 99% of cart with "R4" were not made by the R4 team because the original "R4" is just "R4". No i, no sdhc, no DSi, no 3DS, etc.
