Hacking Question Is there a way to clean out Switch to be able to backup NAND?

Hello guys!

So my friend have a Nintendo Switch that is not patched. He have used it and installed some games in it, logged in etc.

My question; Is it possible to clean out the switch console to later create a NAND backup and then install CFW in it??
He have the latest OFW version 9.20.

He doesn't care if the console gets banned or not.

If it's unpatched then he can make a NAND backup right now if he wants to.

He wants to do a "clean" NAND without any stuff in it such as saved games, picture, games etc.
Now when I think about it, can't he just factory reset the console? :/

Clean as in "no traces of cfw, pirated games and homebrew that were already run on the system"? Or clean as in "no games, save games, pictures and users"?

A factory reset does get rid of games etc but it doesn't get rid of traces of cfw.

If he never had CFW running on it before, he can do a factory reset and backup his nand afterwards.

There's not much point.
But anyway, tell him to disable wifi and delete all wifi networks before creating an emuNAND (so it doesn't try to connect to wifi as soon as he boots the emuNAND), and factory reset the emuNAND only. He can keep the sysNAND the same as it is now, and use that for all his legit stuff, for online etc.
