Like when there is a disc inside it and you turn on the Wii, play it instantly.
or whenever its on and you put a disc, it play it.

Let me get crystal clear, there is NO such way for either Wii or GC to boot up as you start the Wii in Wii mode or GC mode channel while booting up the Wii, right? I still think I'm missing something here.

    I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
