I was able to get the Wii Backup Loader working right thanks to the offline package made by a member here.

But I'm in a similar predicament with the MIOS Patcher... I don't have wifi, so I can't install it.

Is there any sort of offline package I can use?

I know the regular patcher checks the SD for the MIOS files before installing. This was the way I had to do it. You need to get a few MIOS files from the NUS server, WiiGator has/had a few links in an earlier blog post.

You have to learn how to read correctly, read the official release notes again. All cIOS and cMIOS installers from WiiGator and Waninkoko work online and offline.

you need RVL-mios-v8.wad in the root of you SD card for offline installation

That's only for Waninkoko's cMIOS.

QUOTE(lancelott @ Feb 22 2009, 10:48 PM) D'oh. So, which MIOS version is best to use? 4, 5, or 8?

I don't know, but since there are new gamecube games after the Wii release, i would go for 4. Why should nintendo update the MIOS? It wouldn't be for new games, but to introduce new protection.
