When a friend is online, is there any homebrew applications that we can use to send messages to each other?

It's not homebrew, but Swapnote used to do that. I don't know if it does anymore though. You could write out little messages and send them to people in your friends list via Spotpass.

Idiot.

Chat-A-Lot is a "texting app" but it is too slow to actually use. I have grand internet and a n3DS and it tool like 10 minutes to send my "instant message"

reseach before posting
I know its not texting, but it is an application where you can communicate, as the OP said. Im not an idiot.

considering you're pretty new here, you're going the right way about making yourself at home.

I foresee you being one of the people who help drag this place down.

Good luck getting help with that attitude
I apologize. I am just tired of seeing that same user reply to threads with incorrect information all of the time. It bugs me and others too

I'm sorry if I got you mad. I think you are a pretty cool person. :D
I was just explaining the facts to Giodude and had to use that language so that he would understand that he needs to stop sharing misinformation everywhere.

He didn't actually share any misinformation.

He just stated that he saw a texting app on the freeShop - which is true, it is on there.

He never claimed it was the best app ever.

You're the one spreading misinformation by saying that he's spreading misinformation.

Also LOL at a user who joined on Sunday telling a user who has been here since 2006 not to double post, who do you think you are?

It wasn't misinformation the op asked for an app to message people, giodude provided an app, ok it's not a good app in your opinion but it's an app none the less.

And I'm a cool dude? You don't know me how can you possibly discern that, especially after quoting rules that you know nothing about (post merging idiot)

As I stated before please leave, the temp will be a better place without members like you, the type who enjoy belittling others for your own amusement, and yes I know this may read as a double standard but come on man, you deserved it, @Giodude on the other hand did not

Not to start a debate, but that's quite judgemental. I agree, he's off to a bad start, but give it a while and you might see he's turned around. Or not. I'm not psychic.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
