is picture uploading really slow

The new picture uploading service is really slow for me. I've been trying to upload one picture (PNG) that is 905kb, and it still says "Please wait..." after ~20 mins. Am i doing something wrong, or what? :/

Nah it's supposed to be very fast. It probably got stuck somewhere.
Also we're having slow downs recently due to the fact that google is indexing our website (i think leeching off all the pages)
