Hacking Is My R4i Card Broken?

Well, a while ago I bought a r4i gold for 3ds. I installed the firmware and it worked perfectly on my 3ds. Then I hit the update button. While it was doing its thing, I pulled the card out of the 3ds. And it didn't work. I bought a new microsd and it still didn't work. Doesn't show up in menu, just says it's not inserted on 3ds. On DSIXL, the system crashes with an error please restart. And the NDSL just has a white screen when I launch it. Help!

yes you probably broke your card because it updates the card itself not the sd (i think)

You have (soft) bricked the card as far as i can tell, the r4 card firmware is installed on card not on micro sd.

Edit:

Maybe if you could borrow someones r4i card, make it ready for an update and before you press A eject his card, then insert your card with his micro sd , and then maybe there is an chance you can fix it?

i actually dont know if it doesn't work even on nds i dont think there's a way to fix it

Wess, this is a good idea, but sadly nobody I know has an R4i card.

It doesn't have to be a R4i card, it can be any DS flashcart. You will have to do it on a DS Lite as DSi/3DS won't read the card after you swap them. This is the only thing that has any chance of unbricking the card.

What I don't get is why the heck would you remove the card while doing the update that makes no sense to me.

wait, you spent $40 on an R4i Gold?,that is too expensive. I would have went for the Supercard DSTWO as it is not much more than that.

my R4i gold didnt work at the first place but when i boot it up (on NDSL) it also gives me a white screen
