Hacking Is my DSTWO dead?

My DSTWO flashcart is dropped from my 1 meter high table and it just died. I tried to put it in my 3ds and dslite, but they can't read the cart anymore. Is it that easy for the cart to just break like that? Can I fix it somehow? I'm really sad because playing gba pokemon romhack on it is such a joy and gba emulator on 3ds is just not as good.

weird, theese cards are too light to get damage from a fall..
check the pins in the sd card to see if they are bent or something

try opening it up and check for any clear damage, i dont know about the newer models, but the dstwo i got just have a screw and can easily be opened

I know nothing about this stuff, but I can aleast open the cart. Maybe you can notice if it was damaged or not. The sd card works find on the computer.

looks okay to me, so i don't think it's the cart itself. have you tried to check the software? and the sd-card, did you eject and put it back in?

I don't see anything obviously wrong there. What about the other side? There are some chips on it too.
The thing is, there are chips exposed under the sticker. It's theoretically possible that a drop could cause enough of an impact on the chips to damage the chip legs or cause them to come loose, but with how light the DSTWO is, it would be impressive to have that bad luck.

Yes, i did. I haven't touched the software at all. And even without the sd card, the alex rider stormbreaker still appears right?

in the ds lite should open saying it can't find the sd card, i think this doesnt happen in the 3ds, can't remember well

IIRC the DSTWO doesn't show up at all if there's no MicroSD detected.
Probably has something to do with the way it uses the internal CPU to fake a legit cartridge.

wierd... do other game cardridges still work?

i don't know dstwo, just got a lot of r4/acekarts tested so i figured it should be about the same aproach... if other games work, can you find someone with a ds/dslite (without internet functions, not so much graphical) to test if the dstwo works on his/her console? if so, it needs firmware upgrade...

then it's a hardware fail on the dstwo side... clean all contacts with pure alcohol, and the sd-card slot with contact spray and leave it to dry for 30 minutes.

No I use my DSTWO purely for playing gba games. Nothing else

there are clones you know? just check the 3ds cardridges, some do use a clone of dstwo as basic with a switch on it.
