Hacking Is it safe to update my Wii from 3.2 to 4.0?

I want my system to 4.0 but I need to make sure nothing goes wrong. I got the Homebrew Channel on my Wii. Does the update effect it or not?

if you bothered to read what waninkoko's 4.0 updater was you would've known..

I was meaning to quote this, that waninkoko's upgrader was made to ensure the HBC would survive etc. which should be in the upgrader's readme
