I don't see many people buying for two main reasons.

- Atmosphere is coming out and it will be free. You might get piracy like a month sooner with the Team Xecuter modchip but I don't think that's enough to convince many people to buy it.
- Bad memories of Team Gateway.

EDIT: As some people have stated below the Team Xecuter modchip is more convenient than a tethered exploit.

Because nobody is going to spend $100 on a modchip that just makes homebrew more convenient.
Piracy is the only reason for the TX modchip to exist.

I mean I don't mind spending a hundred bucks if it means it's untethered for life. Though I suspect it would be possible to devise a free solution (though getting it small enough to fit *inside* the switch may be challenging)

Team xecuter, hmm if they provide a reasonably priced product (no more than $60) that gives me tetherless CFW I guess I would be interested, as with all products it depends on the competition, if there is a reliable softmod for 4.1.0 that does not involve Pegaswitch I can live without a modchip.

I mean if someone provided a chip that was small enough to fit in the shell, was soldered internally to the USB connection, bridged the correct pins for rcm, and auto sent a payload similar to hekate at boot it would be nice. Especially if the payload could launch other payloads from sd.
Depending on the price, I may have enough left over to give the tiny soldering guy some work.

I suspect the TX modchip will merely allow one to boot into Atmosphère or a sub-par CFW, so I see no need for it.

You gotta make sure it's a tiny amount tho or it's gonna ruin the whole perspective. He lives in a tiny house, with a tiny wife and their tiny children that he supports through tiny soldering jobs.

If the TX solution assuming it ever gets released is more convenient than whatever softmod will be available at the time and reasonably priced, then I'm definetly getting it. The money I'm gonna save stealing ships and killing people might as well be used for proper comfort.
