He's not asking when AKAIO will be released. He is asking about the current status of AKAIO and its correlation to the statement made in a Scene Release.

Anyway, what Norm meant by "there might be no more RC3" is just, that RC3 was an "old" beta, now there is a new one. I know it's hard, but be patient til he fixed every known bug in his current build and thinks it's ready for public.

Hopefully. I don't think any of us mean to be a bother but this is a big issue, and Normmatt's pretty much the lone guy keeping AK alive.

The 'bad batch' AK2.1 fix, Dementium 2 fix, Jam With The Band fix, and a bunch of other games I don't really care about. There's probably new features too.

Release Candidates don't normally get new 'features' added, that will normally happen in a later version ie AKAIO 1.7.

It's quite possible Normmatt may ditch AKAIO 1.6, go straight to AKAIO1.7RC1. It wouldn't surprise me after edgei ripped 1.6RC2.

1. I would hardly call R4 the "worst card" around.

Go enjoy your R4 and Wood R4, I don't think he cares. Normmatt doesn't work for you, he has no obligation to keep you happy.

Normmatt says enough so that people know what is up. He CAN'T give you even an estimate because of how he strives for perfection. From what I know, RC3 has been slated for release for some time now, but BETA testers keep finding odd issues here and there. The reason AKAIO rocks is specifically because of this process.

Well said PV! Normmatt isn't obliged to do anything for anyone, he's a homebrew coder just like all the other homebrew. He does this for his own enjoyment and to hone his own talents. If people are that concerned about an update then they should be hassling the official team, not the guy doing it in his time for free.
