Iplayer now at DX

Meh, I'll probably wait a bit until it goes down to like $20-$25. Not many people will buy it as much as other flash carts because it can't run pirated games. If I have some extra cash then I might eventually get one, but still converting my movies from a DVD as still a pain and I'd need a much bigger SD card to hold them. Not to mention it's still not perfect for playback, and I'd rather keep my money and go through the hassle of converting to DPG files.

About 90% would use it for meda but the other 10% would be people using iPods, MP3 players or music playing devices. I am part of it, but as I have said, I was thinking about the people of GBAtemp. Not the people out there outside of GBAtemp.

Exactly! We are the minority as far as DS owners are concerned. Also, keep in mind there is a good amount of people even within our community here that are against piracy, but wouldn't mind something that has great homebrew compatibility and some other badass functionality (such as great media compatibility) as long as it's not used for piracy. This is FAR more functional than Moonshell (even though Moonshell is fantastic).

Haha. I haven't seen many anti-piracy users of GBAtemp. Not very interested at knowing who they are, but I know I am not them xDD.

.avi is a nice format, but I own NOTHING that can load .avi but my PC. What I mean are handheld items. Phones, Video Game Consoles etc. They all need to be converted. Not sure about my phone but my Zen needs .wmv (Very troublesome and won't accept .avi even though they say it is compatible) and .dpg for Moonshell.

I prefer Moonshell though. It is much MORE customizable then the iPlayer. As far as I know, but they will make skins for it oneday.

The Dingoo is better worth your money. No offense, but these people are just stealing your money. Use Moonshell. iPlayer is just made for the lazy people. If it could boot nds roms, then that would be awesome, but sadly, it can't. I bet even Nintendo could sponsor the iPlayer since it doesn't do anything illegal.

You have a point right there, but what exactly is this dingoo thing..? care to give link on review, discussion or something? looking at the links posted above it seems like a hand held of some sort designed for multimedia?

It's a homebrew handheld, similar to a GP2X. It plays ROMs for a bunch of retro platforms, as well as having portable media player features (plays DVD rips in a variety of formats, plays music in a variety of formats).

It also has TV out that supports both 50 and 60Hz.

Games are stored on internal flash (4GB) and it can take up to an extra 8GB via an SD card slot in the bottom (miniSD).

makes no difference to Nintendo whether the Iplayer can or cannot play roms they have ALREADY BLOCKED it with the new 1.4 DSi update!
