Homebrew Homebrew game Ultimate Switch Port Thread

I just finished a port of Cut the Rope Magic. It expects Gameloft Store version 1.12.2 (also compatible with Panda Grove Restoration mod by spiky shelly). I'm working on the other two main Cut the Rope spinoffs (Holiday Gift & Time Travel) as well, so you can expect them soon

I've updated Lara Croft GO to fix 60FPS and stutters, PvZ Fusion and Pvz Ultimate to both respectively support their latest releases as well as fixed up Phigros.
I'm going on a port break for at least 2 weeks so don't expect any more releases from me anytime soon.

I'm sure you guys can enjoy the 26 ports I've made :P

With regards to Slay The Spire 2 I can't figure out how to fix the crashing bug it's really screwed up. I think it's some kind of issue not with the game but with Switch homebrew libraries that is difficult to solve.

Metroid Prime Origins Fan Game (Lv.4 Games, GameMaker Studio 2 VM). Switch Port: https://github.com/bshurikan/mpo_nx

Controls work; and performance is “playable,” but not perfect like playing it on PC or Steam Deck.

Note: This is my first Switch port attempt and unfortunately the source/android YYC isn't available yet (or ever? Let me know if this changes!) so I was limited with what I could do - had to use it's cousin Castlevania Revamp's android port as a VM donor which doesn't provide much head room: ~75% speed plus the occasional hitch (with docked clocks forced - didn't test overclocking as I don't want to overclock my switch).

IS Dragon Quest VIII likely as it has know also been ported from android to PC with various enhancements like widescreen?

Hi everyone!

After working on this for a while and testing it directly on real Switch hardware,
I'm finally releasing ALEKS Ultimate NX.

The idea was to take the excellent reverse-engineered zelda3 engine and
build a Switch-focused version of A Link to the Past around it, while also
bringing over the portable/second-screen ideas from the 3DS and Android ports.

This is not an emulator and the game is not simply stretched to widescreen.
The Zelda3 software renderer itself draws the expanded view.

MAJOR UPDATE Alek's Ultimate TMC!!!
1787636484222.png

Added

In-app updater

The game can now check for, download and install its own updates from the
second screen, under CONFIG → SYSTEM. No PC required after this release.

After installing, close the game and open it again to run the new version.

The updater replaces the game program and nothing else. Your ROM, saves,
autosave data, extracted assets and settings are never read or written by it.

Link's position marker on the MAP tab

The second-screen map now shows where you actually are with Link head ;)

Changed

  • Rebuilt autosave storage — a checksummed three-slot ring with an explicit
discovery rule. It never renames a file into place, and it migrates older
autosave data forward on first run, so a crash or power loss mid-write cannot
leave you without a readable autosave.
  • Corrected lineage and attribution. Earlier releases credited
    EstebanPdN/zelda-tmc-3ds only
as a reference. That was wrong, and this release fixes it. This edition's
core descends from that project: the Switch tree was branched from its
native port at commit afdde1b7 (2026-05-10), where 742 of 768 core source
blobs match. It is now credited as a direct code ancestor. See
    CREDITS.md.

Fixed

  • Pause map regressions — stale HDMA state is reset when the pause map is
opened, map layer offsets use the native layout, and missing map assets are
repaired on the fly instead of rendering wrong.
  • Autosave recovery — data written by older versions is quarantined rather
than misread, and recovery no longer depends on write ordering the SD card
    does not guarantee.
  • Menu fixes in the figurine viewer and the pause menu.
  • Further native-port gameplay fidelity work, including collision handling.
  • Knowing Random Freezes.

Known limitations

  • True widescreen is not part of this release.
  • Built and tested as the USA edition (BZME). Use a USA ROM.
