SX Save Manager v1.1 released:

First we want to thank all SX OS users who also added SX Save Manager to their SX library for the feedback they sent us. It helps us greatly improves our products. So here is our first update, which mainly focus on correcting small bugs and make it what we think is a pretty stable version that all of you can enjoy without worries.

Changelog v1.1:
  • Fixed two simple but easy to miss bugs that caused many users to crash if they had over 30 titles or corrupt games installed. We apologize for any inconveniences caused by this.
  • Added a settings menu
  • Added option to hide device saves
  • Added support for BCAT data
  • Changed "Export or import" text to "Backup or restore" to avoid confusion
  • Added fast scrolling using the left analogue stick
  • Sort mode is now saved instead of defaulting on launch
  • The UI's game name text now also includes the save type for all types
  • SX Save Manager is now hidden in the list
  • Removed 8.8.8.8 DNS override (this app only, not system wide) to increase compatibility
  • Added option to back up all data to the SD card
  • Added option to use custom file names
  • Many small improvements to increase stability
Additionally some users were confused by the different types of saves. Here is a brief explanation.
  • A user specific save is a save file that belongs to a user. That save is loaded when the game is launched by that user.
  • A common user save (also known as a device save) is a save file that doesn't belong to a user, these saves are used by all users. An example of a common user save is Animal Crossing where all players on a single Switch share one island.
  • BCAT data is data used by Nintendo to add new content to games without releasing a full update for example Animal Crossing uses it to add events without releasing full updates.

This app does not work for me. Will exit when I press the backup / local option.
Using horizon ver 10.1.0, SX OS 3.0.4 , sx core fw 1.3 and SX Save Manager v1.1, hidden partition emunand

Exactly the same here
The dev sent a message in the beta tester group telling people to rename the SXOS folder to see if it recreates this. It did for a few people. Try making a folder called SXOS on your SD card if you don't have one. I suspect the next update will automatically make the folder if it doesn't exist.

while this is great and all, I wish there was 2 things:
1, the ability to STAY signed into the google account to sync instead of just upload
2, OVERALL, there needs to be a way within SX OS to update ALL of it's components, not just the CFW itself

I have created the SXOS folder and now the app doesn't crash anymore, but it still doesn't work, I'm trying it with botw, when I restore the save it doesn't do a thing, when I start the game I'm in the same place.

It's just me or this app sucks?

I'm curious: Can it restore Checkpoint saves?

Nice, i dont know if need it because i already use checkpoint... my favorite save manager ever! :D

It used to be my favorite as well, but it's dead now, at least for SXOS users. It broke in Checkpoint 3.2.0 and older versions broke in Firmware 9x. For non SXOS users they haven't updated in nearly a year.

I'd be worried about the saves community fracturing. If Checkpoint isn't going to support everything, and if SX Saves Manager can work in a non SX family OS then, unless the saves are in the same format (which I doubt) or unless a save converter is made it will cause some real headaches.

checkpoint saves should work if you overwrite the files in the save manager .zip backup
and try running checkpoint in full ram mode on sx os, hold R then open album

I was just given a build today that stays signed in. There's a couple of bugs with it but I've reported them so hopefully they'll be fixed before release. I also asked them to add the option to update all SX apps from inside of SXOS but I don't know if they will. If anyone has any feature requests they have a channel for it on their rocket chat server. The SX Devs (at least the ones I talk to) don't like GBAtemp for some reason so it's probably best to ask on Rocket chat but I don't mind passing along requests if anyone has any.
