I am still on Wii 3.2u and homebrew and backup games and WD hard drive.. Everything works perfectly fine. if it ain't broken, don't fix it.

4.2 is better than 4.3 but I heard you get RF with the iso loaders anyway. I just leave it alone and have no issues. I just have to update IOSes once in a blue moon.

Dad just bought Lego Indy a couple weeks ago so I could softmod his Wii. Guess that was a big waste of money.

I wonder if they log statistics like how many unique MAC addresses it has generated the exploit for. Would be interesting to see how many Wiis are hacked with this exploit

Hello there. I am sorry but what is RF ?

I don't understand why 4.2 would be better than 4.3 unless you are talking about bannerbomb which can be enabled with priiloader to work on 4.3.

I'm pretty sure the system menu version is independent of the IOS's used for homebrew.

This is the kind of statement that riles Joostin all up!

FYI: 4.1 is better than both of them.... it's all about brick fixability. if you never have a problem, it'll never be an issue.

Enlighten me.

Would would 4.1 be better? Brick Fixability? Do you have any idea what you are talking about?

I have 4.3 with an exploitable boot2 (and it is exploited); tell me why 4.1 is better. Once again, do you have any idea what you are talking about?

yeah that's what i think too.

games does not depend on system menus, but it use IOS.

System menu is completely independent of the IOS's that it uses. The only reason why someone would think otherwise because system updates also updates IOS's. But someone can have 3.2 and have all new updated IOS and someone can be on 4.3 with only the new IOS 80 and everything pretty much downgraded.

I have studied so much about wii's in my free time and haven't really looked at it in a year, so if you know how 4.1 or 4.2 is better than 4.3, spill it up.

Joostin = riled.

4.1 is the optimal System Menu because it was the last one to receive bug fixes or new features. Everything above that was designed to brick region changed Korean Wii's and block homebrew (including brick recovery homebrew). With it you have more opportunities to unbrick a Wii. Murphy's law insists that you use 4.1!

SM4.1 is not region locked and this is to be the main advantage

it has been removed in SM4.2-4.3 so you only lose features by going past 4.1.
