Thank you, thank you..... My Toshiba External Desktop HDD has this horrible 10sec sleep timer and ever time I disable it the Wii no longer recognizes it where its formatted to WBFS/FAT32/NTFS. I will definitely have to try and use that software cause the software i've been using was for another HDD.QUOTE said:even for those HDDs that don't come loaded with software to turn the sleep timer off (ie. spin down), "Ashampoo HDD Control" should be able to do it. I've never had to use it personally as all the hard drives I have access to are either WD or Seagate, but it's been reported as being successful elsewhere on these forums

QUOTEI already soft modded my wii a long time ago

Did you go to your mail and navigate to the previous day (press -)?Requios said:Letterbomb not appearing in my Message Board for some reason. Followed the instructions perfectly (every thing is on the root of my SD card) Using 4.3U and verified my MAC address twice, and still no go. I'm able to see all my saves from my SD card, so i don't understand what's up.

Did you copy everything to the root of your SD card? It should be set up likeRequios said:Yes, I have. I've even gone as far as to check all the way back to 2008

There should be two folders inside HAEA, and both of them should go past "HABA_#1"Requios said:Like I said, I extracted everything to the root (boot.elf, private folder, etc). So the directory for the message looks like:
G:\private\wii\title\HAEA\57F3A58A\650EDEA9\20117\10\15\44\HABA_#1

Not necessary, it doesn't overwrite anything (unless you somehow happen to already have a message backed up to the SD card with the same exact date and time).Requios said:Like I said, I extracted everything to the root (boot.elf, private folder, etc). So the directory for the message looks like:

20117 is not a valid year.
QUOTEAren't you instructed to rename your private folder before copying this to the sd card?

Brick recovery becomes difficult when bootmii, priiloader and HBC are not an option. You then need another method to load apps to fix the wii.Zetta_x said:You can still use priiloader to region free patch on 4.3 though right?
Which brick recovery homebrew was blocked? To be honest, like priiloader, all it needs are updates to make it compatible with newer System Menu's + their specific IOS.
starpatch does that on 4.3 or i missed somethingQUOTE said:region free game exploits if needed

Sorry, it's offtopic, but talking about starpatch:keyra said:starpatch does that on 4.3 or i missed somethingQUOTE said:region free game exploits if needed

Is there a homebrew which do the same thing than pre/priiloader/Starpatch, but without replacing the system menu? only temporary patches like Marcan's Wii Menu Loader? (I'm still on 3.2 so I can use Marcan's homebrew, but I'm just curious if someone made a temporary Wii menu patcher for 4.x).
Patching only the desired option when needed (disable update from disc, disable no-copy flag, etc.) without installing a Brickloader.
