Hey guys, so I woke up like an hour ago and started browsing the internet. The webpage loading speed was absolutely horrible and unsatisfactory.
After browsing for a while I get fed up and head to speedtest.net .
Look at my results.

Donwload speed: 0.18 mbps
Upload: 0.05 mbps
Ping: 1453 ms

Download speed and upload speed, fine. I'm used to that. They're normal.
But the ping?! What the heck is going on?

This can't be an ISP problem, otherwise this (already shit) company would shut down.

Do you think there are any factors at home that can affect ping?

The router is unsecured but for the time being we don't have any neighbors.

Please help, suggestions and advice would be really appreciated.

Those speeds are normal for you? If so, then that ping doesn't sound that odd.

Several questions:
Who exactly is your ISP (comany and type (dailup, dsl, cable, satellite, etc))?
Did you try any other servers on the Speedtest website? Sometimes the nearest isn't always the fastest.
Have you tried another computer on the same network to make sure it's not just yours?
Did you try rebooting everything? Computer, modem, router, any other network devices you might have.

My initial impression is that it is your ISP though. If it's fixed by now, could you post your latest speedtest results? I'd like to see what it says when it's normal.
