My wii was bricked and so I took it to a local shop to get it fixed. Then I called Nintendo to try and get my wii shop channel downloads back and when I gave them the serial number on the bottom of my wii they said it was different than the activity they were seeing.

In other words when I download something on the shop channel it register in their computer to a different serial number than the one that is on the bottom of my wii.

Is it somehow possible to change the internal serial number or something.

I did talk to the guy who fixed my wii and he said he did nothing to it internally or anything.

I'm not sure whats going on...

but is there a way to change the serial number in the nand, so i can change it back

Just find out what SN your channels where purchased with, then use the setting.txt editor to make a new setting.txt file for your wii. Then use system setting replace mod to change the setting.txt. Then your wii will have that SN.

No LEH is the start of euro SN, USA usually starts with LU

are there any other options for getting my stuff back or changing my serial number?

That will allow you to change your SN to anything you like. I don't really know much about downloading shop titles again, but if the SN is the same it should work. Any way to get Nintendo to tell you the SN you used to purchase the channels? or is it displayed somewhere on your shop account?

its not displayed in the shop channel its stored somewhere in the nand becuase my nand was restored from another wii and now i have that wii's sn. so im just wondering if this is the only spot in the system that has the sn.

if this is the only spot than nintendo should see on their end that I have my old sn back and they will restore my stuff.

but if not it will still keep showing up on nintendo's end that my has a different sn than whats on the bottom of my wii.

as far as i know when you download a title from the shop it leaves a ticket on your wii, as long as you don't have those tickets on your wii, it doesn't matter if your serial is back to the old one again...

ya ok but nintendo can restore those...but when i called them their computer was showing my wii had a different sn than what was on the bottom of my wii (my original sn) but when i got my wii fixed the nand was exchanged for a different wii's...so now i have that other wii's sn internally and its showing up on nintendos computer as that sn....i just want to know if this is like the only place the sn is stored in the nand...so now that changed my sn in the setting.txt file when i call nintendo again and want those tickets back my wii will show up in their servers as the original sn , the one on the botom of my wii even though my nand is different than it was with the original sn

Nintendo dosen't care about its customers anymore. You're probably best off just patching your sm and reinstalling your wiiware/vc games from someplace other than the wii shop channel...

Do you have a bootmii nand.bin from before you had your wii fixed? You can extract the nand bin and extract your original setting.txt, then replace that back on to your fixed wii. Then use showmiiwads to pack all of your channels you have installed on your nand backup and reinstall them onto your wii.

This is probably the best thing to do, if OP has one.
