installing games only works with dbi now.

Do not get me wrong I love DBI ! but I also like options.

Awoo + fluffy, immediacy fails to install. Does not even begin the percentage.
copy to SD card install from tinfoil, most games not even begin just say failed.
download from tinfoil, do not start to install just say failed, and pops up 100 errors
DBI %100 works

any reason for this? I tested all of these with multiple games and when I found a game the worked on DBI I retest all the others. Same results. I'm very happy DBI works but tinfoil is a must have, I just love the program and used it for years. Could it be a setting, is it possible the SC card is bad only for these other methods and not DBI ( sounds unlikely )

I try to stay away from DBI because of the bricking threats the dev has made. I still use Tinfoil for installing forwarder NSPs and it works just fine.

Out of curiosity, which version of DBI were you using? The last english version (658) or the latest Russian (796) ?

I had a similar problem, not 100% sure that was the fix. I had been running pure atmosphere with sig patches for years without problems. But eventually something broke and every Installation failed. Setting up atmo fresh etc didn't help. Eventually I installed hekate with some hekate specific sig patches (I think) and then everything was good again.

That sounds frustrating when installs only work with DBI. I’ve run into similar issues before, so this discussion is helpful. I usually browse Chicken Road for gaming updates, but solutions like this are what make forums valuable.
