DBI 831 added "Import/Export SDK" options that make it possible to play games built against newer SDK by... importing old SDK to the package? Sounds pretty unusual, but some people reported games like Silksong working on 19.x with this feature.

The problem is that me (and likely many others) choose to avoid DBI due to it being malware, pretty much, even if the author claims it only runs malicious code on unofficial English translations. Don't try convincing me otherwise, it is proprietary software and the author brags about malicious code. I am not running that.

So, is there any other tool that can do such a thing? As far as I can tell, amongst installers that run on Switch, DBI is the only one that has this functionality.

swiss army knife can downgrade firmware requirements for games, also DBI is fine, never had any issues with "malicious code"

I am not talking about artificial firmware requirement data, I am talking about SDK bundled with the game that doesn't play nice with older firmware -- hence DBI's solution that makes it possible to import SDK from games that bundle older SDK.

As for malicious code, I already clarified my stance. Even if it was a joke, there is nothing to definitively prove that the malicious code statement is false as source code is nowhere to be seen. Hence, I want to know if any other tools offer the same feature.

Im using DBI 864 and cant seem to find this anymore. Did they remove this function or move it ?

*EDIT I realized that in order to get dbi to work 100% functionally, you need all prod/titles keys dumped from the newest firmware and no "missing keys" error message
