Hacking Install to USB hard disk

hey guys sorry for the basic question here.. can I just confirm there's no way to put games straight on a USB hard drive from your PC? As in they must be on sd card first then transferred to the USB drive while connected to Wii U

Things are exciting here but mega confusing right now lol. My eyes hurt from trying to read so many threads to get up to speed

no way! But you can install them from PC to WiiU with LAN using a sd card as buffer, so the sd card must be greater of larger game you want to install.

thanks balteck! dunno why my network was slow transferring via ftp.. ended up being quicker to pop the sd card in my pc

The developer himself reccommends to only use that tool for small titles because of its painfully slow transfer speeds. Its great for updates, dlc, and small games.
