Inject save into sysnand for unowned game & bans (for pokemon home)

Hi! I know there are a couple of threads on this board that describe how to inject saves into sysnand from your emunand without actually owning/installing/purchasing the game or cartridge for it.

My question is, is this safe? Is it safe to inject a save from pokémon into sysnand without owning the game and then using pokemon home to transfer the mons?

Has anyone been banned for this?
