What about an irc channel to chat, like when the RF3 undub was being made?

Well, we were using the chat from Google Docs but maybe an IRC channel may be better.
Ask and you shall receive. InazumaUndub IRC Channel

hello, I wanna suggest something.

Would it be possible to change the text football into soccer? Maybe release 2 versions for people who prefer 'football" over "soccer," or viceversa. Also keep the name football frontier since that's literally the name used in the Japanese version.

anyways, just a suggestion. I wanna hear what your thoughts on this.

As an European, I prefer much more football since this is actually the name of the game we play.

Making two versions might be a little hard on the "staff" but that part I'll leave TyRaNtM to decide.

I dunno, that's like saying one version should change "lads" into "guys" or "pitch" into "field". If you know what they are talking about I don't see the issue with it. Personally I don't care either way if it's soccer or football, I know what sport they are playing in the game. =p

personally I would change it to soccer since they say soccer in the anime version, but it's up to you guys.

We test a alpha version of that project, and nearly all run well.
The only problem we have, was with DSTT, but the rest of flashcard isn't having issues.

Hope that the finished version will be come soon.

Does that mean you guys are almost done with it?

Regarding the soccer over football thing I don't see it being useful, plus, football it's the real name of the sport so I dunno if you should be doing that, unless you don't mind the trouble of releasing two versions but in my opinion using "football" is just fine.

No, we're not almost done. alpha means early stages still. The test was to make sure something in the game doesn't get screwed up so badly from patching that it becomes unplayable.

And my take on the soccer/football thing, I'd be fine with either. The only reason I use soccer in the RyRo subs is because the JP folks are saying sakkaa and it just annoys me to constantly read subs that say something different. XD

And anyway since these are European releases and the English version uses European English (rumour/practise versus rumor/practice), I say all that part should be left as is.

Would it be possible to release an undub-only version where only the voices + the movies are replaced and not the names? I don't really mind the names, I mean, changing them back to Japanese would be a nice bonus, but what I really want right now is just an undub.

You realize that the Character's names are completely different from their Japanese counterparts right? They'd be saying "Endou Mamoru" but the subtitle would be "Mark Evans"

Seems kinda pointless that way.

in the future do not rush these guys who are hard-working to give us the best possible undub experience of Inazuma. if it takes a month than it takes a month or when it's is done it's done. i can wait so keep it work guys and one day we will have nice undub experience of Inazuma

Is there gonna be different patch for the undub and the names or is it gonna be a general patch for the English version of the game? Cause i'd like to play the game in french if it's possible

I just registered on forums to say thank You for such project and that i support it with all my heart, cant wait for results.

Im pretty dissapointed that Captain Tsubasa New kick off didnt get released in english...i hope someone like You guys will also try to translate the thing in future:

We almost finishing the long list of unitbase.dat with all characters.

Later we need to work in another files.
The project is in a good way, so keep checking htis thread for futures updates.

If you change the names in the unitbase.dat file, does it change the names in the dialogues too, or only in the menus ?
And which emulator are you using ?

Like we say before, unitbase.dat file change the names in:
- Menu.
- Name above portrait when a character is talking.
- When you are in a battle.

Don't change:
- Dialogues (story).
- Search function (when you can request Haruna to search characters to meet them and try to join you).
- Blog.
- Item and Item description when they name a specific character.
- Description of a character that names another character.
For example, Kazemaru description names Endou.

As you say, unitbase.dat files is very important, is the 60% of all this project, but we still need modify other files too.
But the goal is modify all necessary files.
