When the translation is up and running, I would also like to play a part in the English editing. I am a fan of the series and have played the original VN, F/HA as well as Fate/ Extra.

I'd like to show my support of this project as well. I am a huge fan of the Fate universe and have been ever since I first read the visual novel. I just finished Fate/Extra and was quite sad that Fate/Extra CCC didn't seem to have an english translated version. It's so awesome to see somebody took the time and effort to get a project up and running!

I'd also like to offer my services as an editor. I don't speak japanese but if it's to make corrections in the english translations (proof reading etc.) I'm confident I can be of help.
You're welcome to PM me if you could have use of me, and I'll tell you my details.

In any case, best of luck and godspeed!

I finished Fate/EXTRA CCC a few days ago. I finished at level 48 and somehow got Caster's Servant Ending, despite this being my first playthrough and only understanding 0.01% of it. Though I am sad that I missed one of Caster's costumes, specifically her swimsuit one. I started a New Game+ with her just to find it.

I know you need no more translators, and I would not consider myself to have superb english skills, however I am knowledgeable in japanese and have translated before. Would really love to go over any text to check for errors or suggest alterations if needed? So I guess I'd like to apply to be an editor. I've replayed CCC 3 times and like it quite a lot so I'm curious to see how all references, hip lingo, ruby, things like koi vs. ai, etc. will be handled. I am a NEET with time to spare (for now).

And if you ever would need another translator I'd be willing to help with that too of course.

Yes, it's still going. Only one of the translators remain active (macaronron), one had to leave and the others just vanished. I'd imagine they realized just how much of a daunting task this game is. Sometimes when a person offers to help on a project, they don't realize just how much there is to do. This game is a huge undertaking. And it's really only a two man team, at the moment. We both have stuff that happens in real life, and we both are gamers and sometimes we put the project aside to play a game and enjoy ourselves.

This is the post I was looking for when I asked.
Sucks the other members gave up, but I think Dis mentioned a few posts above that he could be a translator.

Having played this game myself, I can tell it will take at least a few months to translate everything. Then you have to put the translation INTO the game. Most people don't realize that this requires lots of programing to get everything in the right place, fits in the text boxes, and has to be a certain size or else the game will crash.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
