Not to defend him, but in another thread I noticed his pretty bad english skills. In dutch, that sentence is more like: 'i'd be very grateful if y'all took a look through your game collection / game knowledge and help me in my search' (Well, not exactly, but that is what he should have said

)

Anyway, free roaming, no violence involved AND on DS, pretty limited indeed.
He's looking for something like 43 games collection (or whatever that was called) but with an avatar running through the city on his way to different shops to play different games. Don't think that exists as of yet.. Again, at least not without violence.
On pc, i'd say second life. Wii... Wii sports resort airplane cruise is what comes to mind (although i'm probably primed by playing that for days... Damn i-spots are hard to find!)

FFCC Echoes of Time (You can beat the entire game story over Wi-Fi Co Op!)
Hotel Dusk (Well i don't think it's the kind of free-roaming you're looking for, But it's a damn great game!)
