uses a simlar chip to what another android device uses
maybe, but i am guessing that would require some security exploit due to it messing with the OS
Only time will tell. No one knows for sure if it's even compatible.
Why? What for?
It could also run Windows, Linux, iOS, OSX, Amiga Workbench, OS/2, CP/M or whatever OS you want to port/recompile and create hardware drivers for.
windows does not run on arm
Anything runs on ARM if you recompile it and provide/write drivers, specially Windows CE, RT and Windows 10.
There's the Windows 95 on 3ds though.
Windows 10 Mobile. Whole other kettle of fish.
Actually, yes it does.
But it really depends on what kind of "hacked" you mean. I would find it unlikely, as
Maybe something like A9LH would do the trick.
The Switch isn't even out. Hold your damn horses.
yes i know and it will be years before it gets hacked
EXACTLY! You have no idea about the security and you know limited details about it! So how could you possibly be discussing all this.
Even more of a reason not to make useless threads right now.
because it uses a chip slimar to an android device
Has Nintendo even confirmed this? And same chip = / = Android O.o . The 3ds and Wii.U both use ARM chips, can I run cafe OS on my 3ds?!11?1?1?1
well its not just any arm chip though its a custom nvidia tegra
Like I said is this even confirmed?
meanwhile, i guarantee you that nintendo will not provide you with a otherOS function...
sony did it but eventually removed it :'(
nintendo didn't even provided a cool video player for the 3ds... (we got youtube but it was not local player) or dvd player on the wii...
sony is more cool in giving other extra features... the ps3 even played files via streaming!
i mean flashing is nand with android
