The kind of soldering skills you likely don't have if you don't even know what materials you need.

Please just buy an unpatched switch instead of risking an OLED model.

Look for sthetix on youtube and twitter. He can even sell you a premodded one. Otherwise, his youtube materials are really good. He is a nice guy too. www DOT sthetix DOT info

Do you even have any experience soldering?

You would need a small soldering tip, flux, 32 and 36 awg wire. And a good microscope.

If anyone is interested in modding OLED. I offer mail in and also sell premodded console as well

I would personally also recommend solder mask to secure the clk and cmd wires. The tiniest tug on them would otherwise result in either a major pain, or an outright disaster. And if flux and IPA weren’t already on your list, you don’t really have any business even thinking about doing it yourself. I have some basic soldering experience, and I fried one myself, before getting it done on my second attempt… (but I also had an inadequate microscope and uv light to cure the mask the first time)

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
