Yeah just about 20 minutes ago had corrupt db. In my case no big deal all my games external official.
You can even use the same app.db on a formatted or different system, keeping your folders and sorting by lumping it into a hex editor and replacing all instances of the old user ID with the new. They're in decimal format.

After my games and homebrew came back I did a test.
I deleted a homebrew and it did it
there is also another method to get games and homebrew back after rebuilding the database
if you do then you can no longer delete games and homebrew

Change CanRemove from 0 to 1 in app.db to enable deleting. you have to do this for each game manually, so it can be tedious

One of the reasons I put almost every thing on official external Hdd. Only thing I have internal is lappy fan control and if you reinstall a game or app the delete flag gets set back properly.

Same for me. That's why I don't recommend installing to the internal hdd. A lot of people seem to be unaware that they should backup their databases as well.
