Hacking I updated Nintendo and cannot install latest cIOS

basically IOS is the operating system of the Wii console...a cIOS is a Custom IOS basically a modifed version of the IOS....

thats basically all you need to know if you just wanna be a user...however if you wanna develop some stuff then by all means check this out

that took me 5seconds to find on the Wiki am sure if you open up google and simply searched for

"Nintendo Wii IOS Tech Spec" as i just did you would find such wonderful info..

Thanks clarky, after i posted this I was able to find more information but was still clueless as to what was a cIOS... it is confusing because some people talk of customized IOS by only referring to IOS and some other uses the term cIOS.... now I know!

Tried all the above and it still didnt work.

It got to step 7 and when it ran at teh bottom it still came up with the same error code:

es_addcontentstart(000000001000000ff, 0) Failed: -1017
removing titlecontent
error es_deletetitlecontent (Ret:-1017)
error es_opentitlecontent (Ret = -1026

Its like the thing is locked. Is there another way it will not downgrade like i say gets to step 7 then failes

Any help would be good without biting my head off. Done two other wiis fine but this puppy will not go.

Sorted the file i pulled down didnt have the prod at the end got the right file and everythign is working. Thanks Arm the Homeless. His link had teh proper file included.
