I need a new mouse

I've held off getting a new mouse for a while now so now i want to get a new one

As far as mice go, I know that higher dpi is better but how much dpi do i really need for games and typical computer use?

and should i go wireless or corded?

Any suggestions for a mouse ~$40? Links?

Get one of these, they look pretty comfy

But anyway, I would prefer either a Microsoft or Logitech brand mouse. If you're not really into PC games[especially FPSs] you won't need that much dpi at all.

I had the basic black MS mouse and then got a logitech MX510....and didn't notice any difference for my shooters.

I hate cordless mice. IMO its just one more thing to go wrong. I use a Logitech G5 mouse

That's terrible

I don't think I could use a computer knowing I had my hands all over Spongebob...

Edit: Agh. I got off topic again. Anywho, I gots me a Toronto Maple Leafs branded mouse which works great in FPS's. It fits right into my hand (I gots big meaty hands) and the buttons feel great. Also there is a small compartment on the back which lights up blue and is filled with water and a small hockey puck. Flashing lights = Priceless.

Logitech MX400. Best mouse I've ever seen, held, or used. Just the right amount of buttons. I think I got it for $35 on Newegg.com, but it's probably dropped since then.
