i have recently constantly been switching from nightshift to early morning shift.
    i work in private security.
Right now i am leading security in a hospital and i don't know what to do, since i think i may actually collapse.
I haven't had more than 5 hours of sleep a day/night for far to long and about 15 minutes ago when i went to do something my legs gave way under me and i banged against a wall.
I am sitting down now, but i can't see the screen well and i am shaking.
also i feel like i'm freezing to death.
i could do some speed and get some energy back to make it through the rest of this 11 hour shift, but i am worried that i may actually get a heart attack because my heart is already beating extremely fast.
my shift ends in about one hour and 23 minutes.
i am seriously considering just chancing it and calling a cab home afterwards.

    Wherever you want me, baby.
I was expecting this to be about that one guy who's supposed to have "something happen to him" in Feb

Physician here... This will be a very hard case to asses since your changing shifts affect your circadian cycles that your body needs to function, some melatonin threatments can be useful for jet lag but not for changing shifts.

It's an joke, some guy posted that "Something will happen to this person in February". And we all took it as a small meme for a day or two since it was funny.

For now try to keep calm, try to entertain yourself with something. Once your shift ends try to get as much sleep as possible

    Maybe it's the drug use.

I would probably need to take some for them to show an effect tho.
They are not particularly potent when being carried around in a wallet.

Wait, you carry around drugs but don't use them?

    Drugs are not toys.
    Amphetamines are very serious substances.
Only to be used when you absolutely need to.
    Also, bad idea right now.
    I'd get a heart-attack.
my heart is already pumping like crazy.

Yes. Very very bad idea. I'm not suggesting you use them now or ever, but these symptoms you're having sound very similar to those experienced by habitual drug users. That was what I was trying to ask about.

Well, get back to us after you have a good sleep and tell how you feel then. Sleep is about the only advice I have right now, you know, other than the generic "don't do drugs" spiel.

Drink some water and get some fresh air. Maybe sit down again. I hope you feel better.

Go get inside the hospital, get diagnosed with whatever, you don't seem to be ok, and go home on sickness leave.
