Hacking I just received my copy of Cubic Ninja for ND3S and Gateway is on the way. What can I do so far?

I am itching to try a CFW but I am afraid of messing things up with my Gateway arrives. I am on 9.0 now. Where should I start. I am very new to this.

you can get the launcher.dat from gateways site and put it on the n3ds memory card, and get the correct save file read and put it onto the cubic ninja card. from here you can backup your sys nand

there are 2 regions, take a look at the file set on gateways website.

What are you talking about ? CN doesn't require any save injection.
And for the OP you can try reinand, but what is your console micro-sd size ?

Just the 4gb card it came with. I am ordering a 64gb today.

So a cfw is pretty useless for now, 2gb is already taken for the emunand.
What you can do now :
- Setup ninjhax
- Setup Pasta
- Install devmenu_2x with pasta (but don't install any other cia yet)
- Backup your sd card content first
- Delete ninjhax from your CN and scan the gw qr code
- Format your emunand and backup your nand
- Restore your sd card content
- delete the gw save from cn and reinstall ninjhax
- Launch pasta and use it to downgrade your mset and install the bluecardfix
- Then use reinand to boot into your emunand.
