Hacking I just messed up really bad. Please, please help.

I don't think this is a region issue, this might be a IOS issue. When I reformatted my Wii I had to do a disc update for Zelda just to play it, so if all disc updates are blocked then Zelda will never play. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's my two cents on the whole situation. Sorry to here about your loss...

I think your having problems doing the SaveMiiFrii...

First, open your gamecube contoller... take it apart... now, plug it into the port closest to the memory cards (port 4)

on the D-Pad (the + next to the grey control stick) press all 4 buttons down. You'll have to keep the rubber inlay thing on it. after your absolutly sure that all 4 are held down (up, down, left, right) turn on the Wii. You should see a black screen with 3.4U on the bottom left.

If you don't see this, then your Wii is way too messed up for anyone on this board to help you with.

Try it a few times. Even with a region error, you should be able to SaveMii boot.

If it comes down to it, you might just have to pay for a service to reflash the NAND chip with the correct files.

i think he said he has a game stop controller. i got a game stop controller and it dont work for for savemiifrii. i even opened up the controller and broke off the little plastic put back together. so game stop controller does not work..

I cant really remember 100% but there was a way of getting round not having a dump something to do with the keys

Yeah, you can obtain someone else's dump, decrypt it and crypt it again with your own keys, and then flash it using the infectus.

@Stephanie: Try installing a Modchip, maybe just a Plug'n'Play one (WiiClip). Then try booting regionfree. I think your region management system (or however that is called) is corrupted and so your Wii has no specified region at all. A modchip may help you in this case.
And you may try FlatMii, maybe your drive's defect (shit happens!). Maybe someone on the board is willing to borrow it to you.

I would just try to sell it as a semi-working unit on ebay, or craigslist if you can't fix it for free. What is gamestop offering for a used wii, maybe you can get close selling it on your own. if you buy an infectus you can still sell the wii and keep the infectus to use on other stuff like 360 ps3 ect

he wont be able to unbrick with someone elses nand dump cause the tools to repack it with your Keys has never Been Released, Team Twilizers has the Tool he would need but they aren't going to release it
He could wait until bootmii gets released and flash the Boot2 with bootmii, now that doesn't require Keys or a Nand Dump but still does require the infectus

Nintendo could repair it for you, But you would more than likely have to pay probably cost ya a crap load , I would just try mod-chipin it and try that, Mod-Chips are easy to install and are cheaper than ever.
If all else fails sell it like it is, Play it off like the DVD Drive is bad are something, Wiis Like that sell on Ebay for around $100


I still believe a Mod-chip is your Best bet and Best Way to go.

I've heard there are problems with formating with preloader >.< Anyway i suppose wait for Bootmii it should be released soon and can probably fix your problem.

I think buying a modchip and then selling my wii could be the same as if I sold it as is right now. Modchip would be useless to me after I fix my Wii. I've had this Wii since launch. I camped out 17 hours in the cold just for the reserve ticket and was first in line. It's not that I want to get rid of my Wii, it's just that I need the extra money at this moment.

I will definitely find a way out of this. I will share with you all when I find the way.

So let's say I boot up the recovery mode. Would that play my game region free? Would it then open up some tools or menu's to load stuff? That might really help if I could get HBC running somehow.
