yes it should work all all wiis, all menus, you NEED to open the pad because its impossible to hold all the buttons down(if you didnt know) and you hold them then press power on the wii continue holding untill the black menu boots, sorry should have been clearer in the 1st place
Well I opened up the GC pad and held all 4 directions and no luck

Am I supposed to hold it for a minute or something *sigh*

I Googled Wii Recovery with GCN Controller and got this YouTube result. Hope it Helps. D : Wii Recovery with the GCN Controller but remember that you MUST hit all directions so if you have an old GCN Remote you may hafta open it up.
Won't work since she changed the region... You should try to find your region by going in the settings and looking at the letter after 3.4. Once you found the region you changed your Wii to, buy/rent/TPB twilight and try to see if you can load it.

Thanks for your inpu, jonjon. I really appreciate everyones help.

Unfortunately, it's not working. It's a third-party GCN controller, does that make a difference?

Also, I'm 3.4U. Something must have went wrong in the region with Any Region Changer or SOMEthing, but I swear I was on U.S. for everything.

Also to note, GameCube originals work. Though at GameStop, all she tried were a few Wii games all of which didn't seem to work.

Seems like IOS 30 got messed up... Your MIOS is intact though... Weird! Guess you'll have to wait. MAYBE BootMii will be able to fix this. If it doesn't, then I guess you could wait for an update.

You're really holding all four buttons wit hthe controller opened up first, and then turning on your Wii without letting go of them? Guess it could be the controller but that's the first I've heard.

Might be a stupid Idea, But have you tried connecting your Wii to wifi, and go into your Setting were it says Test Connection, Click on that and try to see if your Wii Will update again, I know your All Ready on 3.4, but if a IOS is Corrupted then the Wii Should Update again Well its worth a Try.

But then again it does seem like you have changed something in ARC, Do Any of your Wii games work? Any of them?

Try a backup of every single region. If one loads, then find other backups of the same region, try that.

Once you confirmed that the Wii is reading that specific region, get TP of that region, do twilight hack, install HBC

Well then it sounds like the Console Area Setting has got changed? in ARC thats the only thing i can think of.

Might try a Mod-chip then i guess

I'm sad to hear about your wii issue but in a way i owe u a thank you because I was going to update my wii back to 3.4 to get rid of softmii and most likely my wii would have been screwed also. The only solution i can give is if its under warranty send it back to big N, the'll just send u a refurbished one and most likely not even test the one u send them.

I've sent my Wii to Ninty 2 different times, so really, this is my 3rd console from them. All before hacking my Wii, too. Now that it's been hacked before, I'm afraid there might be some traces of "hacking" involved whether they find a region change, added IOS, or what have you. Doesn't sound like a bad thing to do, but it's just risky, imo. I'll just have to take it somewhere that won't put a disc in the Wii

you may have already answered this? But what about Original GC Games do they still work

Edit- Just read past post, So they do work? Well it would seem if you had region changed your Wii that your GC Games would not work neither but that isn't the Case.?
