PS1/2 I have old phat PS2 and want to play backup games

Just get independencecompiler 2.2 (or 4 but then you have to download the .elf files one-at-a-time)

Needed:
USB flash drive
MC 8MB
PS1 game
PS2 game (Bigger then backup)
PS2 backup game
cogswap (If you have independencecompiler 4; If you have 2.2 its built-in)(you can get it at exploitstation)
Swipe/Slide Card
A way to copy files from a USB flash drive to MC 8MB (ie, GS, ARMax, Code Breaker, ete)

All of those require my PS2 to read PSX discs, which it can no longer do. I saw a PS2 to PS3 controller/memory card converter, and it uses USB. Couldn't there be a way of using this to put the exploit on the memory card?
And is there a way of using Swap Magic on the PS2 Phat?

I didn't know there was that much profit I could've made lol.
But I bought a Code Breaker 8.1, Plan on using the exploit to load up FreeVast to my memory card and then get a HD later to add on.

That your best choice.

• You don't have to get those swap disks w/slide tool. Homebrew has Cogswap and you can make your own slide card.
• No need to buy HDLoader/USBxtreme. Homebrew has ported over those programs into .elf files *See pic I posted above*

Yeah, I made my own slide card out of my friends oldlunch card lol. works perfectly! just received my action replay today. About to go try it now. Be back with results.

you cant really skin it
it only has the basic colors

you can change it in the options
I just have a light blue on mine

Uhh, I tried it with cogswaper and putted in my Guitar Hero 2 retail game since its the biggest game I have, then I used my swap card and putted in MvC2 that I made a backup of. It works =) . But, I can't get this ESR thing to work. I patched my game with memento and when I load ESR, I just get a white screen. Does anyone nkow a fix? Thanks

Edit: I used an older version of ESR and it works!! I tried my MvC2 backup I patched with memento 1.2 and Persona 3 FES Undub remix patched and they both worked without a bootdisc or slide card or anything!! FREEVAST ROCKS!!

I think you have to patch your games
in that case forget it for me

I will just stick with cogswap since I have over 43 burnt PS2 games, which means I will have to rerip every game and patch and reburn
not worth it

Just made a couple ESR beta 8 memory cards for my friends to play backups. It works great, out of 10 games only one didn't work. And ESR is still only days old!
