as said you probably have a rev 1.5 (Ipatched) switch if you were lower than fw 4.1.0 (I think) you could've used peggleswitch but that's long since patched

Because cfw is loaded from SD card

Yea because it's all loaded from sd so makes perfect sense why we need an SD card

They mean load cfw files from nand, not emummc. And you can make it whatever size you want, it doesn't have to be 29gb

Can but didn't. You didn't ask the right question. Now you have the answer but I suppose it don't help much.

I am 99% confident that it can be done. They could have but didn't. There are plenty of people who have the capability to make that happen. You just have to find one that you are able to motivate to do this. ( probably harder than to convince someone to just give his switch to you )

Maybe this can help. Get your sd slot fixed. Rethink how you are using that slot. Maybe you don't have to stress it that much. Do you know that you can access your sd card by ftp over wifi? I probably take out sd card from my Switch less than 100 times for the 5 years that I have it. I am more concerned with the USB connector wear, I may undock it a few times a day.

It can be done but someone needs enough motivation to implement it.
