Hacking Unpatched V1 Auto RCM. Use Rp2040 for injection?

I have a software modded v1. I've set up auto rcm and am using my android phone to inject payload.

I have a spare rp2040 modkit lying around that I was going to use on a v2 that I never got around to.

Can I flash payload onto this and use it either inside the v1 without having to solder to the Tegra or can I plug it directly into the USB socket while in RCM mode to inject the payload so don't have to always use my phone.
