I have a softmodded Wii without SD card. What should I do now??

OK, I'm on. I formatted the sd card with another tool and now the wii takes it.
I have gone through the steps as stated above.
Uh.. you re-softmodded the system, or just by reformatting the sd card it allowed you to access usbloadergx & the Homebrew Channel?
The results of the syscheck are shown below. No idea how else to share it, so I took screenshots of it.

even this pic is very blurry i managed to see what's written, you need to update the cIOSs 249, 250 & 251 to v10. Again, just drag & drop the generated.csv syscheck file into ModMii and it'll tell you what to do, or follow the guide here.
Then I opened usbloadergx and then it only "looks" at the SD card and not at the usb ports. Do I need to set anything else here?

Is the hdd plugged into port 0?
Click on one of the icons on the top banner there and make sure it has "Wii games" is checked.
But by the looks of it it's only detecting your sd which is about ~2gb, go to the settings and see if the hdd path is set to port 0, if not, change it to port 0.
Reboot usbloadergx, and you'll see a "usb initiation screen" it should pass without showing a 20secs countdown, and don't press "B" there either.

It has now been possible to play games from USB. The problem was that in the usbloadergx settings, SD CARD mode was set to ON. When I set this to off, the Wii does read from the USB port.

The results of the syscheck are shown below. No idea how else to share it, so I took screenshots of it.
This program creates a file named 'sysCheck.csv' in the root of the SD card. You can copy this file to your computer manually.
About posting such files to here:
(most important photo was the last one, the most blurred one)
(Despite the name and the extension of 'sysCheck.csv', it is just text inside the file, like in simple TXT files.)

Also, if you drag such a file over the icon of ModMii installed on your computer, it will open with recommendations to update the console.
(It is better to use the icon that is simply 'ModMii', not 'ModMii Skin'. A simple 'ModMii' is scarier than a 'ModMii Skin', but it is more "stable".)

When you can't see the contents of the SD/USB, this button can also come in handy: (see attached image).

You should update the cIOS 249/250 & 251. Just drag and drop this syscheck file into ModMii it will tell you what to do.
The issue you are having is your usb drive is not recognized, when you set "sd card mode to off" in USBLoaderGX? From the pic above you posted it shows your drive, are you sure you have it set to show "Wii games" there?

I have now managed to get the system up to date. Thanks for the help so far.

I have another question, and I hope it's okay to ask in this thread. So I took over the Wii, and it still contains data from the previous owner. So certain safe games are still on here and usernames and such from different games. I would like to actually reset it cleanly, without causing damage to the soft mod or things that are involved.
How can I ensure that all "old" user data is deleted?

If you do a system format you'd need to softmod the Wii again. As for deleting old data, you could do it manually in data management, deleting any installed games, saves, Miis etc. without formatting it. It's your choice.

v54450 may be a problem. You won't be able to use Priiloader system menu hacks unless you either install a stock system menu version, or modify the hacks_hash.ini file to align with your custom version.

ModMii 6.6.3 won't be able to help you correct this, but wait a couple days and my next update should be ready and it will make the process much easier for you.

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm a novice when it comes to modding a Wii. But after the updates I ran through your program and ran them again on the Wii, I get the message that no more updates are needed when I run System Check.
What are the "cons" I would have on my system right now? Everything seems to work. Or am I missing functionalities of the system?

U won't be able to install or update priiloader, you probably have an older version installed, system menu hacks may not be accessible, you'd have to check. It only would be if you got a modified hacks file along with the modified system menu wad from whatever guide u followed.

If you're fine with your priiloader and don't mind missing out on the latest system menu hacks (like deflicker and 480p fixes) then u don't NEED to make any changes

Edit: btw after my next modmii update, it will tell u some changes are recommended, including the change we're talking about. Wait a few days if u want modmii assistance :)

Edit2: update to ModMii 7.0.0 and it will help you do all this and more

I'm not entirely certain about getting the games recognized by USB loader GX because I use backups burned on DVDs, however all you have to do is add a folder in an SD card called apps where you put all of your home versus software, usually it's a zip file where there's an apps folder just extract the contents of that to the apps folder of your SD card you're good to go :)

Hope this helped
