Q: I have a new Nintendo DS Lite, is the M3 compatible with it ?
A:The PassMe that is currently supplied with M3 adapters are not compatible with new NDS. Thus you need to acquire a Passme 2 in replacement for the Passkey supplied with the M3 adapter.

i read this on a QA on the site is this true? this wouldn't make any sence at all a new device Dos not work with new ds's ????

That thread was from 2005 -- a long time before any of the slot 1 carts. m3 is the manufacturer of the cart and that's why the names of them might confuse some. The m3 (Perfect) micro/mini/SD/CF (also rarely called Movie Player 3) is the old slot 2 cart that comes in many different variations and can run GBA or DS games. The newer m3 carts are the Simply and the Real and can only run DS games by themselves -- GBA games can be run with an addon cart like the EZ 3in1 or m3 Expansion Pack.

so on that QA it just talking about a regular m3 not a m3 real????? is that what you mean
Yes, if it was about a M3DS Real, then it would say M3DS Real on the page and it doesn't.
